Experience
Everyone is a research scientist in the four Discovery Worlds: Stoffwechsel, KopfSachen, WeltBlick and Forscherland. Our interactive stations invite you to learn more about the world and yourself. From an expedition through the tiny universe under the microscope and the exploration of the large water landscape to the “hop tutorial” with a bionic kangaroo.

Our Science Dome is a combination planetarium and theater that is one-of-a-kind worldwide. Take a virtual journey to the stars or learn to fly. Experience unforgettable moments with our (3D)films and experimental shows. See just how exciting science can be.

You will never cease to be amazed on the four levels of experimenta’s new building. Experience diverse materials and how the world gets into your head. Find out how science and technology influence the world. Learn what all you can do with air and water. And, be surprised by the special exhibitions on the lower level.

Hard, soft, alive: materials are often more diverse than you think. In the StoffWechsel section, take a look at the nature of things. How does a drop of water fall? What makes a car accident-proof? What makes the tree of life unique?
KopfSachen
You experience the world in your very own way. But how does that work? You will find the answers in our exhibition KopfSachen. Experience the role of your senses, language and movement in a playful way.
WeltBlick
We shape the world with science and technology. Explore how that works in our exhibition section WeltBlick. Find out how smart artificial intelligence really is or try and overcome gravity.
ForscherLand
Knowing more can be a breeze: our exhibition ForscherLand is specifically for our youngest visitors. Find out how a ball hovers in a stream of air or what is magnetic.

The experimenta comes to you: Our ship, the MS experimenta, regularly tours Germany and provides aha-moments on the water! There are numerous hands-on stations, surprising facts, 360-degree film fun in the Mini Dome and exciting workshops.

Under the motto “You are science. You create knowledge”, the focus is on you! What makes you unique as a person? Find out! On board you will learn a lot about yourself and what talents you have.
In our workshops you can experiment and create things yourself. Become a researcher. You will learn how to work with a test tube and pipette – just like in a laboratory. In the Mini Dome you can dive into unknown worlds under the 360-degree dome and experience spectacular adventures.
